Several related peptides act on the same receptor, including sermorelin, a shorter GHRH fragment, and modified analogs such as CJC-1295 and modified GRF(1-29) that are common in research settings rather than approved products. Tesamorelin differs from growth hormone itself in that it acts upstream, prompting the pituitary to release the hormone through physiological signaling rather than supplying it directly. Terminology in the literature distinguishes GHRH analogs, growth hormone secretagogues, and recombinant growth hormone, although popular discussion often blurs these categories together. Precise naming matters when comparing study results.
Tesamorelin is a synthetic peptide of 44 amino acids that reproduces the sequence of human growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) and carries a trans-3-hexenoyl group on its N-terminal tyrosine. That small fatty-acid modification blocks cleavage by dipeptidyl peptidase-4, the enzyme that rapidly degrades native GHRH in plasma. The result is a molecule with a longer circulating half-life than the natural hormone while retaining the same receptor target. It is supplied as a lyophilized powder for reconstitution and belongs to the broader class of GHRH analogs studied for effects on pituitary growth hormone secretion.

Only five stable nuclides contain both an odd number of protons and an odd number of neutrons. The first four "odd-odd" nuclides occur in low mass nuclides, for which changing a proton to a neutron or vice versa would lead to a very lopsided proton-neutron ratio (21H, 63Li, 105B, and 147N; spins 1, 1, 3, 1). The only other entirely "stable" odd-odd nuclide, 180m73Ta (spin 9), is thought to be the rarest of the 251 stable nuclides, and is the only primordial nuclear isomer, which has not yet been observed to decay despite experimental attempts. Many odd-odd radionuclides (such as the ground state of tantalum-180) with comparatively short half-lives are known. Usually, they beta-decay to their nearby even-even isobars that have paired protons and paired neutrons. Of the nine primordial odd-odd nuclides (five stable and four radioactive with long half-lives), only 147N is the most common isotope of a common element. This is the case because it is a part of the CNO cycle. The nuclides 63Li and 105B are minority isotopes of elements that are themselves rare compared to other light elements, whereas the other six isotopes make up only a tiny percentage of the natural abundance of their elements.
== Adverse effects == Nephrotoxicity: Like cisplatin, nephrotoxicity, harm to the kidneys, is the primary dose-limiting factor. However, the nephrotoxicity of nedaplatin has been shown to be less severe than cisplatin. In rats, nedaplatin primarily affected the renal papilla, with papillary necrosis in severe cases. Neurotoxicity: Nedaplatin is widely reported to be neurotoxic, especially to the nerves of the ear. Causing symptoms like numbness and tingling in mild cases, or sensory ataxia in more severe cases. Nausea and vomiting: The emetogenic effects of nedaplatin are commonly managed with prophylactic antiemetics, such as duplex dexamethasone and ondansetron or triplex dexamethasone, ondansetron and aprepitant. Ototoxicity: Nedaplatin is toxic to the nerve and hair cells in the cochlea. In rats, nedaplatin was severely toxic to the nerve cells at a concentration of 10 μM, with damage to hair cells becoming more severe exceeding 100 μM. Neutropenia, leukopenia, anemia and thrombocytopenia (see "Aqupla アクプラ" in External Links): Nedaplatin is toxic to the hemopoietic cells of the bone marrow, combined with reduced levels of erythropoietin, leads to elevated incidence of bone marrow suppression compared to cisplatin. Incidence of severe grades of leukopenia and neutropenia are reported to be higher than cisplatin in treatment combined with radiotherapy. These haematological adverse effects are common in general.

MS1 data refers mainly to the isotope pattern of the compound. Due to the natural isotopic distributions of the elements, several peaks in the mass spectrum correspond to the same type of sample molecule, reflecting its isotope pattern. MS2 data refers to the fragmentation pattern of the compound. MS2 is also known as tandem mass spectrometry or MS/MS. The statistical model of SIRIUS and the machine learning model of CSI:FingerID were trained on MS2 spectra created by collision-induced dissociation (CID), as commonly applied in LC-MS/MS experiments. SIRIUS expects both, MS1 and MS2 spectra, as input. Omitting the MS1 data is possible, but it will make the analysis more time-consuming and can lead to poorer results. SIRIUS and CSI:FingerID have been trained on a wide variety of data, including data from different instrument types. Certain aspects of the mass spectra are important to successfully process the data:
== Side effects == In studies, upper respiratory tract infections and high blood cholesterol levels (hypercholesterolemia) occurred in more than 10% of participants. Less common side effects included other infections such as herpes zoster, herpes simplex, urinary tract infections, and gastroenteritis.
=== History of isolation === Didymin was first described in 1965 by German scientists Carl Heinz Brieskorn and Gerhard Meister, who identified isosakuranetin-7-rhamnosidoglucoside in the leaves of Monarda didyma L. The structure of didymin was subsequently clarified and confirmed by total synthesis in 1968 by Wagner, Hörhammer, Aurnhammer, and Farkas.
A supercritical fluid (SCF) is a substance at a temperature and pressure above its critical point, where distinct liquid and gas phases do not exist, but below the pressure required to compress it into a solid. It can effuse through porous solids like a gas, overcoming the mass transfer limitations that slow liquid transport through such materials. SCFs are superior to gases in their ability to dissolve materials like liquids or solids. Near the critical point, small changes in pressure or temperature result in large changes in density, allowing many properties of a supercritical fluid to be "fine-tuned". Supercritical fluids occur in the atmospheres of the gas giants Jupiter and Saturn, the terrestrial planet Venus, and presumably in those of the ice giants Uranus and Neptune. Supercritical water is found on Earth, such as the water issuing from black smokers, a type of hydrothermal vent. SCFs are used as a substitute for organic solvents in a range of industrial and laboratory processes, most commonly carbon dioxide for decaffeination and water for steam boilers for power generation. Some substances are soluble in the supercritical state of a solvent (e.g., carbon dioxide) but insoluble in the gaseous or liquid state—or vice versa. This can be used to extract a substance and transport it elsewhere in solution before depositing it in the desired place by allowing or inducing a phase transition in the solvent.

Labour defeated the Conservatives by four seats in the British general election on 15 October 1964, and formed a government the next day. Both Labour and the Conservatives told Smith that a positive result at the indaba would not be recognised by Britain as representative of the people, and the Conservatives turned down Salisbury's invitation to send observers. Smith pressed on, telling parliament that he would ask the tribal chiefs and headmen "to consult their people in the traditional manner", then hold the indaba as planned. On 22 October 196 chiefs and 426 headmen from across the country gathered at Domboshawa, just north-east of Salisbury, and began their deliberations. Smith hoped that Britain, having taken part in such indabas in the past, might send a delegation at the last minute, but none arrived, much to his annoyance, particularly as the British government's Commonwealth Secretary Arthur Bottomley was only across the Zambezi in Lusaka at the time. While the chiefs conferred, Northern Rhodesia became independent Zambia on 24 October 1964, emulating Nyasaland, which had achieved statehood as Malawi three months earlier. Reasoning that it was no longer necessary to refer to itself as "Southern" in the absence of a northern counterpart, Southern Rhodesia began calling itself simply Rhodesia. The same day, the commander of the Rhodesian Army, Major-General John "Jock" Anderson, resigned, announcing publicly that he was forced to do so because of his opposition to UDI, which he said he could not go along with because of his oath of allegiance to the Queen.
Coagulative necrosis is characterized by the formation of a gelatinous (gel-like) substance in dead tissues in which the architecture of the tissue is maintained, and can be observed by light microscopy. Coagulation occurs as a result of protein denaturation, causing albumin to transform into a firm and opaque state. This pattern of necrosis is typically seen in hypoxic (low-oxygen) environments, such as infarction. Coagulative necrosis occurs primarily in tissues such as the kidney, heart and adrenal glands. Severe ischemia most commonly causes necrosis of this form. Liquefactive necrosis (or colliquative necrosis), in contrast to coagulative necrosis, is characterized by the digestion of dead cells to form a viscous liquid mass. This is typical of bacterial, or sometimes fungal, infections because of their ability to stimulate an inflammatory response. The necrotic liquid mass is frequently creamy yellow due to the presence of dead leukocytes and is commonly known as pus. Hypoxic infarcts in the brain presents as this type of necrosis, because the brain contains little connective tissue but high amounts of digestive enzymes and lipids, and cells therefore can be readily digested by their own enzymes. Gangrenous necrosis can be considered a type of coagulative necrosis that resembles mummified tissue. It is characteristic of ischemia of lower limb and the gastrointestinal tracts. Both dry gangrene and gas gangrene can lead to this type of necrosis. If superimposed infection of dead tissues occurs, then liquefactive necrosis ensues (wet gangrene).
Gerald Adler, writing from a self psychology perspective, viewed the disorder as resulting from the failure of evocative memory and characterized by an intolerance of aloneness. Masterson hypothesized that the disorder resulted from core developmental problems with separation-individuation. More recently, Fonagy and Bateman have proposed that the disorder stems from deficits in mentalization.

It is a synthetic peptide built from 44 amino acids arranged in the same order as human growth hormone-releasing hormone. A short fatty-acid chain, described as a trans-3-hexenoyl group, is attached to the first amino acid. The finished molecule is formulated as a sterile powder that is dissolved before use.
No. It is a releasing-factor analog that signals the pituitary gland to secrete growth hormone, whereas recombinant growth hormone is the hormone itself administered directly. The two are chemically distinct and act at different points in the same endocrine pathway. This distinction is often lost in informal discussion.
Native growth hormone-releasing hormone is broken down within minutes by dipeptidyl peptidase-4 in the bloodstream. Adding the hexenoyl group at the N-terminus shields the peptide from that enzyme. The modification does not change the receptor it targets, only how long the peptide survives in circulation.
